Maui Outcall Massage FAQ

Do you have an office where I can go to?

Sometimes I do rent office space but currently I travel to you, aka outcall or mobile massage. I bring everything needed, massage table music etc. If your space is tight, I can make room by moving a coffee table or setting up on a lanai, porch or balcony.

What do I do during a massage?

Pretty much nothing! All you need to do is inform me if the pressure needs adjustment or if you need a blanket, music change or anything else to make sure you are able to relax as much as possible

Do I need to take off all my clothes?

No, undress to your comfort level. Traditionally massage is given without clothes so the massage therapist is able to access your muscles easier. Keep in mind, you are always draped well with sheets and never exposed. The massage therapist leaves the room while you undress and then you get underneath the top sheet on the massage table where you will feel safe and draped by sheets.

Will the massage hurt?

No, the massage should feel good! If you are tight in areas the massage therapist can apply more pressure, if you are requesting to break up muscle tension, but it should never go above a “good pain”. Good pain is where you feel the pressure but are able to breath into it comfortably. If you feel you are holding your breath, then that is a clear sign it is too much pressure. If you feel too much pressure, speak up and tell the massage therapist, “less pressure please!” Maybe you want more pressure? Speak up, say “more pressure please”. I usually ask you a couple brief questions before the massage to get an idea on what style of massage and how much pressure is best for you but you still need to let me know during the massage if anything needs change, because my goal is to help you feel relaxed and rejuvenated.

Do you have music during the massage?

Yes, I bring music. Most people like to have music, however some do not. Maybe you prefer to listen to the live birds outside or the real ocean instead, or maybe you have your own music that you know you like.

What should I do after a massage?

I suggest letting the massage integrate by relaxing more, any kind of relaxation, could be a walk, socializing, meditation, gentle yoga etc. If you are going to do a sport like activity after massage try to keep it less vigourous so the muscles get a chance to retain length. Drink water and try not to lift anything heavy for several hours after massage.

How often should I get a massage?

This depends. Some people schedule once a week, once every other week or once a month. Some do more than once a week if needed. I suggest booking your massage ahead of time instead of same day, to ensure your most desired scheduling time.

How do I pay?

I accept cash, credit card or US check.

Do I need to offer a gratuity?

Tips are never expected –  always appreciated
