Make a choice for your health and the health of the environment

      I think everyone one in the world should be on a diet, a diet for a hot planet. I am currently reading “Diet for a Hot Planet” by Anna Lappe which I recommend, for her insight and statistical explanations of the effect of what’s on our plate to the environment.
      It is so important that we reduce the amount of carbon particles in the air since they are currently at 400 parts per million and the safe zone is 350 ppm. It is possible to restore the environment through our individual efforts to recognize what is on our plate; the ingredients, how far away those ingredients came from, the farmer who grew the ingredients etc.
       I’m in love with my new exercise I developed for myself, which is a form of yoga. When I’m gathering foods for consumption, I ask “where did this come from, how much was the farmer paid, is it over packaged, is it organic, is it gmo free?”
