seva

Today’s Seva story #56 of 100 comes from Dianne. Seva means selfless service for the benefit of community and the environment. I am collecting 100 Seva stories to spread ideas, inspiration and positive news.

Dianne writes, “I volunteer at an English learning center in Laos. I’ve been going since 2012 and usually stay about 3 months. I’d like to be there longer. I teach English and help support the Lao teachers. About 2 years ago I raised money for a remote Lao village without electricity  and my husband and I installed solar to five homes. There’s nothing I prefer as much as being  in laos and being of service there. I haven’t had a permanent home in almost four years. It’s either Maui, Laos (or other SE Asia countries) and Seattle!! Starting to spend more time in Seattle with my first grandson!!!”

Please share your seva story with me so we can spread the seva! Aloha and Namaste,  Johanna info@johannawaters.com
