Aloha Friends

I hope you are having a great start to your summer. I like to add poetry to this blog here and there for inspiration or just as a restful reflection. I’ve been unable to find the author of this poem “Anyway”. I love this poem as it relates to yoga because so often times we need to see or feel  physical results in our practice not realizing that our goals can be modified to meet the present moment through our practice instead of for a “result”.  Practice anyway!   Aloha,  Johanna

People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.

Love them anyway!

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.

Do good anyway!

If you are successful, you will win false friends and enemies.

Succeed anyway!

The good you do will often be forgotten tomorrow.

Do good anyway!

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.

Be honest and frank anyway!

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.

Build anyway!

People really need help but may attack you if you help them. Helpthem anyway!

Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.

Give the world the best you have anyway!
