Vegan Recipes
Massage and Yoga are great ways to care for yourself. When we are out of pain it is easier to care for others. One dire “other” to take care of is the environment. An easy way to care for the environment is to eat less meat and dairy. The meat and dairy industries wreak havoc on our air water and soil. I’m not saying that everyone has to go vegan or plant based but I am saying if we all eat less meat and dairy it will improve the carbon parts per million in our atmosphere. Currently we are at over 400 parts per million, the safe amount is 350. So, to make things easier, I’m going to post some of my favorite and easy plant based recipes.
Cashew Creme – You will be amazed at how creamy this taste with no dairy!
1 c. raw organic cashews
2 to 4T. agave (depending on how sweet you like it)
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract (or be playful and try hazelnut, almond extract etc.)
1 tsp. lemon juice (optional)
soak raw cashews in water for at least 3 hours, rinse and blend (high powered blender) above ingredients with water, start with 1/2 c. water and add more to your liking. refrigerate for at least an hour. eat plain or top with fruit, pies, granola etc……
