Seva story #34 of 100

Aloha,
Today’s Seva story #34 of 100 comes from Lani who lives on Maui. Seva means selfless service for the benefit of community and the environment. I am collecting 100 Seva stories to spread ideas, inspiration and positive news. Lani writes:
“When I lived in California, I was a volunteer with “Horses for Healing,” a therapeutic riding program for kids (and some adults) affected by autism or MS.  Horseback riding/being around horses was a big passion of mine…, so by volunteering my services a few hours a week, I was able to get my “horsie fix,” and help individuals with physical and/or mental/emotional challenges gain confidence, mobility, and a sense of hope, inspiration and purpose in their lives.  Riding/connecting with horses is incredibly therapeutic, beneficial!  It was a very cool program,
which I felt honored to be able to participate in/be a part of…  I remember always feeling a “high/sense of exhilaration after spending time with the horses and some really amazing people, and also watching/sharing their ” high”/sense of satisfaction/accomplishment/empowerment/and connection with our very amazing and remarkable 4 legged companions.”
Please share your Seva story with me so we can spread the Seva! Aloha and Namaste,  Johanna Waters, info@johannawaters.com
