Aloha Friends,
I had a great volunteer trip to Vietnam massaging orphans with disabilities. Thanks again for donating to the non-profit “Buds to Blossoms”.    The orphanages were loud and some of the kids were very sweet and happy and some were unhappy and aggressive.  The positive thing that sticks with me are the sounds of laughing and singing and the many smiles the hiv/aids orphans offered to me as a complete stranger.  They were impressed that I could cross my eyes and make an arm muscle, lol.  The difficult memory at the orphanage that served children with mental and physical disabilities, was most of the kids had flattened backs of their heads due to laying down so much, since they can’t walk.
Overall I’m glad I had a successful fundraiser and was able to to do the work. So glad, that I would like to continue another fundraiser for a non-profit on Maui. This time I’d like to sell my bracelets, necklaces and crafts at my yoga class to raise money for The Maui Humane Society. The Maui Humane Society’s mission is: To protect and save the lives of Maui’s animals; accepting all in need, educating the community, and inspiring respect and compassion towards all animals.
Seva means selfless service. I will be bringing Seva gifts to class that you can receive with a corresponding donation.  For the summer of 2015, all profits from Seva gifts will be donated to The Maui Humane Society.
I will be attending a meditation teacher training soon so Lani will be subbing for me while I am out of town June 21st thru July 5th. I look forward to this training enhancing my yoga practice and teaching.
Have a great summer and let me know if you have any questions. Much Aloha,  Johanna
