Aloha Friends,
It’s been awhile since my last update so here’s what’s new: I will be holding class this Easter Sunday, April 1st.
I am excited to be going back to my yoga school, Kripalu center for Yoga and Health to learn more modalities, styles of yoga and for inspiration and ideas. I currently have my 500 hour yoga teaching certification and am working towards my 1,000 hour certification.
Christina, who has been subbing for me for several years will be teaching my classes while I am gone, so the yoga schedule continues, every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 8am. Christina will be teaching the last 3 weeks in April. I’m sure you will enjoy her classes.
I am still taking Seva stories, look below for details or contact me with questions. (Johanna, info@johannawaters.com)
My current seva work is making more yoga straps, eye pillows and Lauhala stars to sell as a fundraiser, profits going to Women Helping Women Maui (to help end domestic violence). It’s been taking some time to get a good supply made but I will be bringing these handmade fundraising products to class soon.

What is Kripalu Yoga?
“Kripalu Yoga is an integrated system of self-transformation that empowers you to realize your full potential. The journey begins as you revitalize the body through postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques. It deepens as you learn to focus awareness, enabling you to enter mediative states that awaken compassion and clear the mind. through the practice of Kripalu Yoga, you discover how to nurture the roots of health, catalyze personal growth, live with greater skillfulness and joy, and transform your sense of what it means to be alive.”
